So i picked up this book called "The 5th Wave" written by Rick Yancey. And honestly I was sucked into the world of this book. During the first few pages it introduce you to a girl named Cassiopeia but everyone in the book calls her cassie and it also explains her back story her mom got killed by by the a virus their were many names for the virus put I prefer the name The red death because it was airbore it could travel from your mouth, nose, eyes, oh and even your butthole(which I freaking gross) and another system is that you LITERALLY CRIED TEARS OF BLOOD!! and only a " lucky" few were immune which her dad and cassie and her little brother were immune "Lucky them" after her mother died. Her father, brother and cassie left home and searched for safety. Sadly "the other" know how human thinks and were one step ahead of humans and they took over government officials. So they found a group and stayed with them until they were going to the direction that they wanted to go. Soon "help" arrives army solider which are actually "the others" and they only took the kids away in yellow buses and that how Sam and Cassie get seperated. Her father died soon by one of the "army men". And the rest explain how much she hates the others and is trying to get back her brother. I really enjoyed this book like their were moments when I felt sorry for Cassie as if I knew her and I understood her pain from losing a love one. I'm going to continue to read this book since I'm so attached already and I didn't need to force my self to read. ( Yup I go through that when a book is so boring to the point I need to force my self to read). Anyways I gives this book a BIG OLD THUMBS UP.(by the time I post this I probably already read the whole book so I will compare and contrast the trailer )
